Welcome to Anonix. This Privacy Policy explains how NIKS TECHNOLOGIES ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our anonymous chat application.
Anonix is designed with privacy at its core. We collect minimal information and ensure your conversations remain private and ephemeral.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Profile Information
- Age: Selected during setup (18-99 range)
- Gender: Selected during setup (Male, Female, Other)
- Session ID: A randomly generated identifier stored securely on your device
- Nickname & Avatar: Randomly generated, can be regenerated anytime
2.2 Chat Data
- Messages: Temporarily stored during active chat sessions
- Chat Sessions: Created when you match with another user
Important: All messages and chat sessions are permanently deleted when either user leaves the chat.
2.3 Analytics Data
We collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the app experience:
- App opens and session duration
- Feature usage (search started, chat joined, etc.)
- General device information (device type, OS version)
This data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you personally.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To match you with other users for chat sessions
- To facilitate real-time messaging between users
- To process reports of inappropriate behavior
- To improve app performance and user experience
4. Data Storage & Security
- Session ID: Stored securely in your device's Keychain
- Profile preferences: Stored locally on your device
- Messages: Temporarily stored on Supabase servers, deleted when chat ends
- Reports: Stored securely for moderation purposes
5. Your Rights
5.1 Regenerate Identity
You can regenerate your nickname and avatar at any time from the home screen.
5.2 Delete All Data
You can delete all your data at any time from Settings > Delete My Data. This will remove your session ID, profile, and all associated data permanently.
5.3 Leave Chats
You can leave any chat at any time. All messages are permanently deleted when either user leaves.
6. Age Requirement
Anonix is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
7. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase: Backend infrastructure and real-time messaging
- Amplitude: Anonymous analytics
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
